REANTICA, Association of
Conservators, Restorers and Admirers of Art based in Belgrade, Serbia, has
been founded in 2002 as an non-government, non-political and non-profit
organization.
Its activities consist of scientific and professional research of
conservation and restauration techniques and methods, exchange, acquiring and
developing of knowledge and skills, education of restorers and other
professionals for applying of contemporary conservation and restoration
technology and methodology, and also raising awareness about artistic values
and development of art in general.
ACTIVITIES OF REANTICA ASSOCIATION
: collecting and disseminating of scientific and professional litterature
from the fields of conservation and restoration,
: organization of meetings, seminaries, courses and other forms of
professional education within the field of conservation and restoration,
: publishing of books, magazines and other publications from the field,
: assembling the scientists and proffesionals for working on scientific,
professional and research projects in the domain of conservation and
restoration,
: cooperation with universities, governmental organizations for protection of
cultural heritage, professional associations and other art organizations in
the Serbia and Montenegro and abroad,
: supporting the work on improving the art conservation and restauration
methodology by giving "Milorad Medic" Annual Award - Award for
extraordinary results in the field of conservation and restauration of
paintings.
